The many styles of Kaitlin...

So this past week I have had multiple... dress up moments.

The picture above has kind of an embarrassing story with it. So I was cleaning my room the other day and got sick of hanging my clothes up, so I started to just put clothes on. Eventually this is all I had on. Next thing I know my roommate is yelling for me to come out in the front room. I thought nothing of it and went out there, to my dismay she was not alone. Two guys from our ward, who were not to bad looking, stopped by to introduce themselves. I could have killed her. She totally knew I looked the way I did. She thought she was so funny. I have to admit I kind of dug my own hole and fell in it.

This outfit is a combination of my roommates Melissa's and Meredith's clothes. We were going to make a video and this is the outfit I got to wear.... lucky me!

Meredith's swimsuit top that I am super jealous of! I think I am going to make one like it for my sewing project in my class!

This is a dress Meredith made. Isn't it super cute?!

Biker chick! Need i say more?!

Arabian or Quarter

Blonde moment! (if you can call it that!)

Okay so I was texting a friend last night and I was just asking random questions like:
-Chocolate or vanilla?
-Pumpkin pie or cheese cake?

And he would respond. Finally he asked me a question:
-Arabian or Quarter?

I was so confused so instead of just keeping what I thought he meant to myself I asked:
I don't know what you mean. Like as in a coin or a person?

His response:

-horses. they are kinds of horse.

I couldn't of felt any dumber! Yup I sure did impress him with my knowledge! :p

Cindy Lou Who

For all of you who don't know I had to have surgery. Nothing to serious but needless to say it is not something I ever want to go through again.
Reason why I had to have surgery (besides the fact that my mouth is dumb):
I had an infection that was eating away at my bone. I then had to go to a specialist and see what my options were. He gave me three:
1. ignore the problem and in a few years the infection would eat away more bone until eventually my teeth fell out.
2. pull out my two teeth that were causing the problem.
3. have surgery.
Naturally I went with option 3.
After going through option 3 I regretted jumping to a decision so quickly. This is what i had to go through. (For those of you who don't want to know the details skip to the end.)
What they did was cut my gum and flip it up so that it exposed the bone underneath. They then had to scrap the bone to get the infection out, then stitch me back up. Sounds easy enough. But let me tell you sitting in a chair for two hours, with no headphones or anything to distract me was less then pleasant. In the middle of the surgery I made the mistake of opening my eyes. To my shock I saw the doctors hands covered in blood. MY BLOOD! yeah I didn't open my eyes again. Then at the end of the procedure he pressed on my gums really hard to get the excess blood out of my gums. There is nothing more terrifying in my mind then tasting your own blood. I broke down as soon as I left the doctors office. Honestly that was about the worst of it. On the first day every time i smiled my mouth would start to bleed a little but it wasn't to bad.

So why name this post Cindy Lou Who? Well after the surgery my face swelled, as was to be expected, since all the work was done on my front upper teeth my top lip swelled. upon looking at myself I realised had i lived in Who ville ( How the Grinch stole Christmas) I would have fit right in!

McDonald's

Today Sommer, my mom, and I took Kayden and Kyah out for the day. Eventually we all got hungry. So naturally we went to McDonald's. I'm pretty sure we spent over an Hour there just letting Kayden play. He hardly sat still. Then Kyah got up enough courage to go play with all the kids. Of course she couldn't climb very well so me being the youngest adult (whatever that means :p) got the responsibility to help her. Let me tell you... it was not very easy maneuvering my 5'10 145lb body around a million kids and in a very small space. To say the least i had a blast watching the kids play and have fun. I also enjoyed being able to be a kid for just a few minutes, playing once again on the toys at McDonald's.

UPDATE!

Okay it is official i am by far the worst blogger in the history of blogging. I just cant seem to keep up. So here is the last month in fast forward... and backward.
So last week we got really bored. My roommate simple said this statement that instantly cured our boredom for awhile...
"Cowboys and Indians anyone?"

Nicole and I, of course, choose to be Indians while ....
Poor Alan and Allyse had to be cowboys :)
We spend the rest of the night making noise and trying to kill one another!
So yet again here we were bored, but my mom told me that i was no longer allowed to allow my roommates to cut my hair, so we had to come up with something else. This is what we came up with...
Bike Jousting! I of course had to put on a fat suit get on a bike and allow my roommates to whack me off the bike...
needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed this game.

Meredith got a hold of a marker... and my feet :)

Okay so the picture above is of me eating a kiwi.... or actually about to eat a kiwi. For one of my classes we have to make goals and achieve them. My goal for this day was to try something new. Kiwi was that days item.... it took awhile to finally eat but it wasn't as bad as i thought. i might have another one... next year.

(Nicole, Allyse, Meredith, Me)
(sitting on a dumpster...)
Our Tye Dye Party!

We got a little carried away... but we decided one can never have to much Tye dye!

I woke up this morning sat on the couch, and began to eat breakfast to try and wake up. My two roommates quickly then proceeded to grab spoons sit next to me and steal my breakfast! I was helpless and could do nothing but let them.

~Ill try and be better about keeping you all updated. ~

Poem

This poem was written by my FHE Brother Alan and my roommate Nicole:

Grilled Cheese
Into the current, merciless violence
Ebbing flows of hunger from below
Breaking through the deep sounds of silence
Escaping from its grasp i cannot go
Cheese on the grill, divine words from above
Wonderful servant seeks my relief
Floating to me like a sweet little dove
Reinforcing the principles of my belief
To my rescue she selflessly runs
Wonderful butter, sweet slices of cheese
Wedged between the most beautiful buns
Brings me helplessly to my knees
Such divinity will surely be blessed
It flows over the edges like a water fountain.
My appreciation i have truly confessed
On the worlds tallest vast mountain.

~If you couldn't tell they were extremely bored. Plus Alyssa was actually making us all grilled cheese. They were so grateful they wrote her a poem.~
